2007 My very first mermaid painting. Ever!

2007, This was a self portrait of my and my husband. It actually hung in a cafe for almost a year, then they closed.

Progress. Each year my art gets better, and better. The very first painting I ever did on canvas was of a purple robot, that was in 2006. I still have it, and will probably always keep it, and display it! Each year brings new excitement to my art. I finally feel as I can draw, and I'm okay at it. Lately I've been using a drawing manikin, and I surprise myself how good I have gotten.

I am an artist. Why is it so hard to say that? Am I the only one that has trouble with it? Maybe it's so hard because we don't want to be vulnerable. We need to get rid of that fear! Seriously, look how far I've come. The first 3 images are hard to show people, I'm kind of shy about showing you my first paintings.

I can't wait to see what the future holds for my art.
